What Square Loyalty costs as you add shops
Square Loyalty charges per location, per month, banded by loyalty visits, and quotes it for one site. This is the same model at the sizes shops actually are.
| Shops | Cost a month |
|---|---|
| 1 shop | £25 |
| 2 shops | £50 |
| 5 shops | £125 |
| 10 shops | £250 |
What they publish
- to 500 loyalty visits a month: £25
- to 1,500 loyalty visits a month: £45
- above 1,500 loyalty visits a month: £65
Who it suits
A shop already taking payments on Square, with one site and modest loyalty volume.
Where it works against you
A growing estate, because the per location price never tapers and there is nothing for managing several shops.
Our honest view
For a single shop already taking payments on Square, Square Loyalty is the obvious choice and a good one. We are the better answer from the second shop onwards, and for anyone whose sales do not all go through Square.
Why a shop moves to us
A shop moves to us when the counter stops being the whole story: a second site, a website, or a till that is not Square. Points then sit on one balance instead of two, and a customer who buys online and in the shop is one member rather than two. The other reason is whose name is on it. Square Loyalty is Square's programme with your shop inside it, and a customer identifies themselves by typing a phone number into Square's screen. Ours carries your name, your colours and your wording, and the customer sees your programme rather than your till provider's.
And whatever you decide later: the members and their points belong to your programme rather than to your till. Change tills and they come with you, because nothing about them lives inside the till in the first place.
